Wickman acquisition of HW Ward Spares bringing benefits to customers world-wide
The Wickman Group is pleased to announce the acquisition of Stockport-based H.W. Ward (Service & Spares) from F Bamford & Co Ltd.
F Bamford & Co Ltd (H W Ward Service & Spare Parts) is the original supplier of genuine "Ward Lathes" spare parts to the thousands of Ward Capstan and Turret Lathes around the world.
To Wickman director Owen Coyne, it makes excellent commercial sense to include the respected H W Ward range. “Wickman has offices and outlets around the globe, so we can reach out and support Ward users everywhere,” he explains.
F Bamford & Co Ltd acquired H W Ward in 1984 and has continued to provide owners of Ward Capstan and Turret Lathes with ORIGINAL spare parts manufactured to the ORIGINAL drawings and to the ORIGINAL specifications. “This guarantees that the lathes will continue to provide the service and long life for which they are renowned, says Owen.

Wickman Welcomes Tangi-Flow
New life has been breathed into a world-famous but recently ailing Coventry precision engineering company. The renowned Tangi-flow range of tooling products will resume production thanks to the enthusiasm of the directors of Wickman, another long-established Coventry-based business.
When Chris Barrett and Owen Coyne learned that L & T I Brock, manufacturers of Tangi-flow products had been put into administration, their first reaction was regret that the company that had supplied Wickman for many years was in trouble. Their second thought was that there was an opportunity to continue the supply of a high-quality product to an established market.
